Cattails and Snow New Mexico Style

This year the first snowfall fell and fall colors were still abundant.  The fresh layer of snow created a striking display of warm and cool colors here at my place in New Mexico.  I was inspired by the way the light fell on these cattails enhancing the warm colors against the cool snow. After creating some color studies plein air, I created this studio piece.
